Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, achieving just one match at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time coach his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface from March of that year.
Victory also signifies he has secured twenty-one victories at 21 different tournaments.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is really nice," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the first title I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six finals, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
His defensive approach and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his ability to perform at the elite level was over.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to come to the net and perform assertively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He came back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, securing four of the last five points to go ahead.
The competitors traded break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional championship, gained dominance to force a third set.
Moutet rescued four early break points in a tight final set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he earned victory with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to control a return after over two and a half hours.
