Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the first significant trophy of his illustrious career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
